What is LimeLock?

LimeLock™ is a secure Internet service, dedicated to protect Internet users' privacy by hiding their contact information (email addresses, phone numbers, etc) from unauthorized or abusive use by third parties. LimeLock™ is used primarily to power web sites that deliver free quotes for various offline services (e.g. mortgage lenders, contractors, movers, car dealers, debt consolidation, collection services, and others). LimeLock™ allows the users to safely submit their phone numbers and email addresses without worrying about being spammed or overwhelmed by telemarketing calls.

The idea behind LimeLock™ is very simple: when a user submits a form with his or her personal email address and phone number(s), LimeLock™ anonymizes this information and replaces each item with an alias - Emails will look like anon-xxxxxx@limelock.com, and for Phones it is a completely new number that is assigned for at least 60 days.

This service is easy to use, since it does not require any special action on behalf of the user - it is activated at the point of interaction (when the user is filling out a quote form). It is free for users and provides access to a personal account automatically created for this purpose. In this account users can control their aliases and monitor who contacts them.
